Vantor is currently seeking aSenior-Level Software Engineer to support ourFALCONeffort. This role can be performed remotely within the continental United States.
As a Vantor team member, you will have the opportunity to closely support our mission partners, and your work will have a direct impact on building mission-focused software capabilities that support operational awareness, data-driven analysis, and timely decision-making. In this role, you will work closely with software engineers, data scientists, analysts, and customer stakeholders to build, enhance, and sustain applications and data pipelines that help transform complex data into actionable insight.

What You'll Be Doing:

Minimum Qualifications:
Must be a US citizen.
Current Top Secret security clearance and/orCBP/DHSsuitability.
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, software engineering or a related field (4 additional years of experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree. A master's degree may count as an additional 2 years of experience.).
6+ years demonstrated professional experience with programming, design, and/or development.
Professional experience with oneor morestrongly-typedprogramming languagessuch as Java, Rust, or similar.
Professional experience with one or morescriptingprogramming languages such as Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, or similar.
Must be willing to lead technical discussions, mentortechnical staff, and drive technical design andengineering efforts.
Working knowledge of agile software development practices and tools, such as Jira, Confluence, and git.
Must be willing to work in a remote setting or nearby Vantor facility and comfortable communicating via video calls.
Preferred Qualifications:
Substantial experience with backend development using Java andRust.
Experience developing and maintaining low-latency, streaming, or event-driven data processing technologies and paradigms (e.g. Apache Flink and/or Apache Kafka).
Experience applying traditional AI/ML approaches and methodologies to streaming data.
Full-stack development experiencewithmodern front-endJavaScriptbasedframeworks, particularlyReact,Next,Leaflet,Map Libre, and Redux.
API REST framework development and maintenance experience.
Experiencebuilding and supporting solutions in acloud environment(AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, OpenStack, etc.).
Experience with containerized deployments (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker).
Experience with CI/CD tools and workflows (e.g. Jenkins,ArgoCD, Harness, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions).
Experience with SQL database development, schema design, query optimization, or data modeling (e.g. PostgreSQL, Apache Iceberg, or similar technologies).
Experience supporting research and development projects; developing production capable systems from a greenfield and receptive customer.
Experience leading technical efforts for cross-disciplinary teams.
Experience extracting and translating requirements from government stakeholders to achievable goals, objectives, and tasking.

The base pay for this position within Colorado is: $128,000.00 - $170,000.00 - $187,000.00 annually. The base pay for this position within New Jersey is: $128,000.00 - $170,000.00 - $187,000.00 annually. The base pay for this position within Delaware is: $128,000.00 - $170,000.00 - $187,000.00 annually. The base pay for this position within the Washington, DC metropolitan area is: $140,000.00 - $187,000.00 - $205,700.00 annually. The base pay for this position within California is: $147,000.00 - $196,000.00 - $215,600.00 annually.For all other states, we use geographic cost of labor as an input to develop market-driven ranges for our roles, and as such, each location where we hire may have a different range.
