Position: Chess Expert (1800+ ELO) — Game Reconstruction & Transcript Correction
Type: Contract
Compensation: $90/hour
Location: Remote

Role Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and correct speech-to-text errors in chess commentary transcripts to ensure accuracy in piece names, squares, and moves.
  • Reconstruct full chess games on an analysis board using corrected transcripts, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Identify and itemize minimal missing information when transcripts do not uniquely specify the complete game.
  • Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines and improve the quality of the chess dataset.
  • Collaborate with AI research teams to enhance dataset quality and model performance.

Qualifications

Must-Have

  • 1800+ ELO rating (FIDE or online equivalent).
  • Fluent in reading algebraic notation.
