A Brief Overview
Works under the supervision of the Director of Talent Acquisition, Student Placement and Accredited Continuing Education, as part of the Continuing Professional Development Team to help drive accredited education compliance and student clearance processes; assists the Director and Managers as needed or requested in coordinating the administrative support functions of the Education Department. Acts as a change agent by suggesting new or innovative approaches based on evidence-based practices that result in improvements in quality outcomes.
Education Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED Required


Experience Qualifications

  • 2 years Clerical support experience Required
  • 2 years Drafting and editing professional documents and correspondence Required
  • 2 years Healthcare continuing education experience Preferred
  • 2 years Experience in a healthcare setting Preferred

What you will do

  • Act as resource to accredited activity coordinators to ensure proper procedures are followed and required materials are submitted in compliance with state and national accreditation criteria and guidelines.
  • Assist in development and implementation of continuing education activities, working closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely and high-quality programs and content.
  • Participate in efforts to identify educational needs of staff throughout the organization in adherence to organizational, state and national standards.
  • Develop communications for internal and external announcements and advertisements as directed.
  • Navigate and maintain online portals for continuing education and student clinical experience software.
  • Assist with student affiliation agreements and renewals, student documentation and other required steps to properly clear students for clinical rotations in the hospital and clinics.
  • Support portfolio of accredited continuing education activities designed for physicians, nurses, social workers, respiratory therapists, and other healthcare workers throughout the organization.
  • Provide assistance to staff, physicians, schools, students and system leaders as needed and requested, responding promptly and professionally to all inquiries.
  • Take initiative to trouble-shoot and resolve customer and stakeholder problems and concerns.
  • Maintain effective communication of processes to all stakeholders including staff, physicians, schools, students and leadership.
  • Deliver coordinator and school/student training on online portals and processes on a regular and ongoing basis.
  • Identify and support staff development opportunities.
  • Make recommendations and implement changes for the improvement of the various business processes related to student clearance/placement and accredited continuing education functions.
  • Track and capture data related to the gap analysis and outcome reporting for accredited education activities.
  • Incorporate regulatory and accreditation requirements into improvement projects.
  • Acts as a backup timekeeper and payroll function for department.

  • 10% Travel to and from offsite education and training events as required.
