Job description

As a global leader in cybersecurity, CrowdStrike protects the people, processes and technologies that drive modern organizations. Since 2011, our mission hasn't changed - we're here to stop breaches, and we've redefined modern security with the world's most advanced AI-native platform. Our customers span all industries, and they count on CrowdStrike to keep their businesses running, their communities safe and their lives moving forward. We're also a mission-driven company. We cultivate a culture that gives every CrowdStriker both the flexibility and autonomy to own their careers. We're always looking to add talented CrowdStrikers to the team who have limitless passion, a relentless focus on innovation and a fanatical commitment to our customers, our community and each other. Ready to join a mission that matters? The future of cybersecurity starts with you.

About the Role:

We are seeking a Vice President of Product Marketing for Cloud Security to define and lead CrowdStrike's cloud security narrative, category strategy, and go-to-market execution across one of the company's most critical growth areas.

This role requires a high degree of strategic platform, go-to-market, and cloud security category positioning expertise to shape the market and drive category leadership across CrowdStrike's cloud security portfolio. The VP of Product Marketing, Cloud Security serves as a central hub between Product and Engineering, Sales and Marketing, customers, partners, and the analyst community to drive market awareness, validate leadership in key analyst evaluations, and accelerate product adoption and expansion with new and existing customers.

This role is accountable for defining and operationalizing a comprehensive cloud security product marketing strategy, including multi-year vision, annual plans, priorities, success metrics, and operating cadence. The VP will build and execute a full-funnel go-to-market plan that aligns product innovation, market timing, and customer demand, while making clear tradeoffs to maximize business impact.

This role owns end-to-end product marketing leadership for Falcon Cloud Security, including positioning, messaging, launches, analyst strategy, sales enablement, and thought leadership. While demand generation, competitive intelligence, digital, PR, and analyst relations do not report into this role, this leader is expected to set the strategy, direction, and success metrics that guide execution across all marketing functions.

The VP will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Alliances, and executive leadership to drive category leadership, revenue growth, and durable differentiation in a highly competitive market.

This role requires deep expertise across modern cloud security domains, including CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, cloud runtime protection, and Cloud Detection & Response (CDR), as well as a strong understanding of how cloud security buyers evaluate platforms at enterprise scale.

This role is hybrid, combining remote work with ongoing in-office presence at one of the posted locations to enable effective teamwork and cross-functional collaboration

What You'll Do:

Category Leadership & Market Strategy

  • Define and evolve CrowdStrike's cloud security category strategy, disrupting legacy CSPM and fragmented CNAPP approaches

  • Shape an adversary-centric, platform-driven narrative that redefines how the market understands cloud security

  • Establish Falcon Cloud Security as the standard for cloud risk reduction and breach prevention

Positioning, Messaging & Storytelling

  • Own global positioning and messaging for Falcon Cloud Security, ensuring clarity, differentiation, and consistency

  • Translate complex technical capabilities into outcome-driven stories for CISOs, cloud security leaders, and executives

  • Define core cloud security use cases, solution narratives, and buyer journeys

Go-to-Market & Business Impact

  • Drive awareness, adoption, and pipeline impact across enterprise and mid-market segments

  • Lead executive-level go-to-market strategy for major launches and platform expansions

  • Partner with field, demand, and digital teams to ensure messaging drives measurable revenue outcomes

Product Launch & Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Lead global go-to-market execution for new cloud security capabilities and major releases

  • Serve as the product marketing hub across Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing

  • Influence roadmap and investment priorities through market, customer, and competitive insight

Team Leadership & Org Development

  • Lead and scale a high-performing team of senior product marketing leaders

  • Set a high bar for strategic rigor, storytelling quality, and operational excellence

  • Build a culture of accountability, urgency, and pride of craft

Analyst, Competitive & Market Influence

  • Own cloud security analyst strategy across Gartner, Forrester, and IDC

  • Establish product marketing as the authoritative voice on cloud security competition and buyer dynamics

  • Ensure sales teams are equipped to win against CNAPP vendors, CSPM point tools, and native cloud providers

Thought Leadership & Evangelism

  • Represent CrowdStrike as a cloud security thought leader with customers, analysts, and industry forums

What You'll Need:

  • 15+ years of experience in cybersecurity, cloud security, product marketing, technical marketing, or product management

  • Deep domain expertise across CNAPP, CSPM, CWPP, CIEM, cloud runtime protection, and CDR

  • Proven experience leading senior product marketing teams and driving GTM strategy for large-scale platforms

  • Strong understanding of public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and modern cloud architectures

  • Exceptional executive communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels of the organization

The ideal candidate is a senior product marketing leader who has operated at VP or SVP level at an equivalent or larger scale to CrowdStrike, or a current or former Chief Marketing Officer at an earlier-stage company with deep cloud and cybersecurity expertise.

Bonus Points:

  • Experience in high-growth public or late-stage SaaS companies

  • Background in cloud engineering, DevOps, or software development

  • Experience scaling product marketing organizations through rapid market expansion

  • A leadership style grounded in ownership, urgency, and raising the bar

  • Deep alignment with CrowdStrike's mission to stop breaches

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to fair compensation practices. The salary range for this position in the U.S. is $300,000 - $340,000 per year + bonus + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
