Job description

Looking for an applicant with approximately 4 years of experience in veterinary emergency and customer service - CVT required.  This is a full time, 40 hours, first  shift, Sunday through Wednesday OR Wednesday through Saturday schedule available. This position is remote however applicants must live within commuting distance to MSPCA- Angell Boston as it requires intermittent onsite training and work.

As a member of our Communication Center, the ER Technical Liaison triages clinical situations via telephone to determine if the patient requires immediate treatment by our ER service or should be directed to Urgent Care or a Specialty Appointment.  The ER Technical Liaison works in collaboration with the ER Veterinary staff and other departments to assess the best course of care based on patient needs and available services.

ABOUT YOU

The ideal candidate is a CVT with previous veterinary customer service experience and at least 4 years working in an ER setting is a plus!

We are looking for applicants who demonstrate excellent judgment and decision-making skills with the ability to triage emergent client and referral calls and determine the appropriate advisement in an efficient yet compassionate manner. Applicants should be able to sustain accuracy while maintaining urgency and compassion.

Traits needed to excel in this position include strong communication skills (written, listening, and verbal), sustained attention to detail, independent problem solving skills, and the ability to convey empathy for our clients and the animals in our care.  Strong computer and phone skills are required.

COMPENSATION:

Starting $26-$27/hr
