What is a remote veteran?

Remote veterans are military veterans who work in jobs that allow them to perform their duties from a remote location, often from home. These roles can span a wide range of industries, such as information technology, customer service, project management, and consulting. Many organizations recognize the unique skills veterans bring—like discipline, leadership, and problem-solving—and offer remote opportunities to accommodate their needs and leverage their experience. This flexibility helps veterans transition into civilian careers while maintaining work-life balance.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote IT support specialist, and why are they important?
