Search & Comparison IntentUnderstanding entrepreneurial roles in innovation settingsManaging product development remotely

The main difference is that a Remote Venture Studio involves launching and developing multiple startups or ventures, often with an entrepreneurial focus, while a Remote Product Manager oversees the development and lifecycle of specific products within a company. Both roles require industry knowledge, but their environments and objectives differ significantly.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Venture Studio professional, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Remote Venture Studio professional, you need strong entrepreneurial acumen, business development skills, and experience in startup operations, often supported by a background in business, finance, or technology. Familiarity with project management tools (like Asana or Trello), remote collaboration platforms (such as Slack or Zoom), and sometimes lean startup or agile methodologies is typical. Exceptional communication, adaptability, and the ability to work independently are vital soft skills for success in a distributed environment. These skills and qualities are essential for successfully launching, scaling, and managing multiple ventures remotely while fostering team cohesion and innovation.

How does collaboration typically work within a remote venture studio team?

Within a remote venture studio, collaboration is highly dynamic and relies on digital tools such as Slack, Zoom, and project management platforms. Teams are often made up of cross-functional members including product managers, designers, engineers, and business strategists, who work together across time zones. Regular virtual stand-ups and brainstorming sessions help maintain alignment and foster creativity, while clear communication protocols are essential for overcoming remote work challenges. This structure supports fast iteration and allows team members to contribute their expertise to multiple projects simultaneously.

What is a remote venture studio?

A remote venture studio is an organization that creates, launches, and scales multiple startups, but operates with a distributed or virtual team structure rather than a traditional physical office. These studios provide resources like funding, mentorship, technical support, and business development to help startups grow, all managed remotely. Remote venture studios leverage digital tools and platforms to collaborate, allowing them to access talent and opportunities globally. This model offers flexibility, reduces overhead costs, and can accelerate the startup-building process.

Job description

Lavendo partners with startups and highโ€‘growth companies to help them hire topโ€‘tier sales, GTM, and technical talent. This role is with one of our clients; weโ€™ll share full details about the company and interview process as we get to know you and confirm mutual fit.

About the Company

Our client is an AI-first services and product studio that helps regulated enterprises move agentic AI out of pilots and into production. They build proprietary AI products with built-in compliance and security guardrails for financial services and healthcare clients, spanning agentic AI, cloud modernization, and data platforms on AWS. In just over a year, they've grown to 140 people and 100+ customers, backed by a $4.6M seed round from Bessemer Venture Partners and Sorin Investments.

The Mission

That production-readiness is the whole point: enterprises in banking, insurance, and life sciences have no shortage of AI pilots โ€” what they lack is systems that can actually run in the real world under the weight of compliance, security, and scale. Our client exists to close that gap, giving these industries governed AI they can trust in production, not just in a demo.

The Opportunity

As a Solution Architect, you'll be among the first four US-based SA hires as our client launches its North America expansion. Reporting directly to the CEO with no layers of middle management, you'll serve as the primary technical face and trusted advisor for enterprise customers across the West Coast in financial services (BFSI) and life sciences.

What You'll Do
  • Serve as the primary technical advisor for West Coast enterprise customers, from first conversation through architecture alignment to deployment

  • Design secure, scalable agentic AI/GenAI solutions that translate business objectives into cloud, data, and AI architectures

  • Own presales end-to-end โ€” solutioning, sizing, and technical proposal writing

  • Partner with a 140-person delivery team for execution, taying focused on strategy with no hands-on delivery responsibility

What You Bring
  • 6-15 years of experience in solution architecture or a similar field

  • Deep, genuine industry expertise in financial services (FSI) or Life Sciences

  • Proven presales experience, including solutioning, sizing, and proposal writing

  • Hands-on experience with Agentic AI or GenAI use cases, plus solid knowledge of enterprise architecture patterns

  • AWS experience required (Azure or GCP acceptable), with familiarity in Kubernetes, VMware, or OpenShift as a plus

  • Based in or willing to be based in the Bay Area, with openness to self-directed travel

Key Success Drivers
  • Builder mindset with strong ownership of the technical relationship, from start to finish

  • Deep industry credibility in FSI or Life Sciences

  • Ability to build trust quickly with senior enterprise stakeholders like CTOs and Chief Data Officers

  • Comfort operating with high autonomy, including deciding when remote engagement is enough versus when on-site travel is warranted

  • Strategic, presales-to-delivery ownership without needing to manage hands-on execution

Why Join?
  • Strong comp: $220K-$280K base, $55K-$70K bonus, equity

  • VC-backed momentum: $4.6M seed round from Bessemer Venture Partners and Sorin Investments

  • Proven traction: 140 employees, 100+ customers in 15 months

  • Direct CEO access: No escalation chain

  • True flexibility: Fully remote, self-directed travel

Interviewing Process
  1. HR screen

  2. Interview with the CEO

  3. Interview with the Head of Delivery

  4. Final Co-founder interview

  5. Offer

We are proud to be an equal opportunity workplace and consider all qualified applicants without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, age, sex, marital status, ancestry, disability, genetic information, veteran or military status, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic protected by law.
