Job description

Direct a team of Senior Product Managers and Product Managers to ensure that product launches and ongoing product management maximizes organizational results using experience with Business Planning and Strategy. Develop the long-term product strategy, forecast, and the annual operating plan (AOP). Provide product line budget requirements into the business unit annual operating plan. Ensure that the marketing mix reflects current trends and business needs in support of product management. Collaborate with legal counsel and engineering to evaluate and promote asset protection trends and tools. Utilize knowledge of Product Tradeoff Evaluation to compare and contrast the interplay of potential product features, regulatory and customer requirements, budget, and technical capabilities to evaluate and decide what can be offered to win in the market. Ensure that the product branding strategy is implemented effectively, and lead and support internal and external communications in relations to the product range. Conduct market research and develop marketing communication plans for engineering products and systems. Manage aggregate product planning process and synchronized business planning process and drive customer focus Six Sigma initiatives using Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS). Identify market opportunities and develop strategic plans to capitalize on them using analytical and problem-solving skills including Pareto analysis, hypothesis testing and statistical process control. Drive improvements through ongoing customer satisfaction activities. Drive process and tool changes to ensure that ongoing customer issues are resolved. Guide the development, implementation, and measurement of results of product promotions. Represent the interests of product management and global locations to ensure global collaboration and maximum profitability of the product lines under management. Champion functional excellence, drive marketing process changes that will improve New Product Introduction (NPI) and Value Package Change processes. Manage Project Risk and use quality tools to identify areas of risk and alternatives or solutions. Coach and motivate Senior Product Managers and Product Managers, and provide guidance and direction on problems and issues.

Alternatively, the employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing or Management Information Systems, or related field and 6 years of experience as a Product Manager, Marketing or Data Analyst, or related position. Experience to include: Business Planning and Strategy; Develop annual operating plan (AOP); Product Tradeoff Evaluation; Develop marketing communication plans; Product planning process and synchronized business planning process; Lead Six Sigma initiatives using Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control (DMAIC) and Design for Six Sigma (DFSS); Analytical and problem-solving skills including Pareto analysis, hypothesis testing and statistical process control; Product development management; New Product Introduction (NPI); Project Risk Management.
