Role Overview:

Brigit is on a mission to help everyday Americans build financial stabilityโ€”helping members manage cash flow, avoid fees, build credit, and take control of their financial lives. At Brigit, data plays a critical role in ensuring we build products that truly support financial stability.

In this role, you will uncover insights about how members manage money, navigate financial stress, and use our products in their daily lives. Your work will directly inform product strategy and design decisions, helping teams build experiences that are intuitive, supportive, and impactful.

We are looking for a UX Researcher who will collaborate closely with designers, product managers, and marketing to identify research questions, conduct studies, and translate findings into actionable insights. Your work will ensure that product decisions are informed by a deep understanding of our members and their financial needs.

This role will be based in our NYC office 2-3x a week.
What youโ€™ll be doing:

  • Conduct research to better understand our users, their needs, and their experiences

  • Partner with Product Design, Product, Data, and Engineering to help guide product decisions

  • Turn research findings into clear, actionable insights

  • Share insights in simple, useful ways through readouts, summaries, and other research materials

  • Build and maintain research resources so teams can easily find and use past learnings

  • Look for ways to improve and scale research practices, tools, and processes

  • Champion a user-centered approach by bringing empathy and evidence into the product development process

What you have:

  • 4+ years of experience conducting UX or product research in a product organization

  • Experience running a variety of qualitative research methods (usability testing, moderated and unmoderated studies)

  • Ability to synthesize complex findings into clear, actionable insights that influence product decisions

  • Experience partnering with product managers, designers, and engineers in fast-moving product teams

  • Strong storytelling and communication skills, with the ability to present insights to both design and non-design audiences

  • A collaborative mindset and curiosity about how people manage money and navigate financial challenges

  • Experience building research repositories or insight libraries

  • Familiarity with tools such as UserTesting, Maze, Dovetail, or similar research platforms

The anticipated annual base salary for this position is $120,000 - $150,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits for which an individual may be eligible (other benefits listed below). The actual base salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include as applicable, the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, years of relevant experience, specific and unique skills, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job.
