ROLE OVERVIEW:

The Senior Business Analyst - Retail Solutions sits at the intersection of HSY's field sales organization, commercial technology, and vendor partners. This role is the connective tissue between what the field needs and what gets built, translating retail execution priorities into functional requirements, evaluating vendor solutions, and ensuring that new capabilities integrate effectively with Salesforce as HSY's core field platform and other business-growth tools. The immediate focus is supporting the design and delivery of field execution capabilities enabling teams to be more productive and purposeful as they grow sales and bring delicious Hershey's products to market.


ACCOUNTABILITIES

Business Analysis Planning: 

 Define and elicit requirements, analysis, new solution architecture and documentation that shapes how field representatives execute in store.

 Develop comprehensive project plans outlining key activities, deliverables, and timelines.
Stakeholder Engagement: 
 Collaborate with business and other technology stakeholders (internal, third-party contractors, external vendors). 
 Facilitate communication between business units and IT teams to ensure alignment and successful project implementation, outcomes and value measurement. 
Solution Design and Implementation: 
 Design and implement technology solutions that address business challenges. 
 Ensure solutions are scalable, efficient, and aligned with organizational goals. 
Key outputs include: 
 Technical requirements and user interactions / user stories, 
 Prioritized backlogs,
 Solution outcomes, 
 Positive and negative operational cases, 
 Quality testing actions,
 Sprint plans. 
Data Analysis and Reporting: 
 Conduct detailed data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. 
 Create and present reports to senior management, providing actionable insights to support decision-making.
Project Management Support: 
 Assist in managing project timelines and resources, guiding priorities and implementation tradeoffs when appropriate. 
 Ensure projects / sprints are delivered on time, within scope, and meet quality standards.
Testing and Delivery: 
 Serve as the business advocate by participating in sprint reviews, leading integration and user acceptance testing, and ensuring delivered capabilities meet field execution requirements.
 Change Management: 
 Partner with field leadership to support field adoption of new capabilities including training inputs, feedback collection, and continuous improvement loops.

 Communication, Vendor and Stakeholder Management Skills:

 Strong interpersonal skills are necessary for facilitating collaboration and ensuring stakeholder buy-in. 
 Demonstrated ability to manage external vendor relationships, facilitate structured evaluations, document both technical and operational issues, solutions and behaviors, and drive alignment across business, IT, and the retail field.
Technical Proficiency: 
 Proficiency in business analysis tools and methodologies, including data modeling, process mapping, and requirements management. 
 Experience with AI tools and creation of agents to generate more efficient product operations, analyze data, provide insights.
 Experience with data integration technologies, processes and data analysis tools.
 Familiarity with systems such as Databricks, SAP S4, PowerBI, Salesforce (especially CG Cloud), or similar a plus. 
 Experience supporting mobile releases alongside backend releases, including understanding regression risk and coordinating release timings. Experience with mobile applications, operating systems and hardware a plus.
 Proficiency with AI tools to streamline the DevOps and data analysis processes is welcomed.
Project Management Skills: 
 Familiarity with Agile methodologies, and associated DevOps tools is highly beneficial working in a sprint-based delivery model. 
 Experience in managing releases, sprints and other projects, including planning, execution, and monitoring. 
 Ability to prioritize tasks, manage resources, and ensure project deliverables are met on time and within budget. 
 Experience working with onshore and offshore development teams a plus.
Retail Execution (a plus): 
Working knowledge of CPG field sales concepts including route-to-market models, retail compliance, and in-store execution priorities (merchandising, distribution, display, etc.).

Experience & Education

Education: Bachelor's degree in a Technical discipline such as Information Technology, Data science or a related field is required. 
Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, process improvement, product ownership or a related field.
