How much do Unity game programmers make?

Unity 3D developers typically earn between $60,000 and $120,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and project complexity. Entry-level programmers may start at lower salaries, while experienced developers with specialized skills in C# and 3D modeling can earn higher wages, especially in larger studios or remote roles with competitive benefits.

What does a Remote Unity 3D Developer do?

A Remote Unity 3D Developer is a software professional who creates interactive 3D applications, games, simulations, or visualizations using the Unity engine, while working from a location outside of a traditional office. Their responsibilities include writing C# scripts, designing and optimizing 3D environments, troubleshooting technical issues, and collaborating with other team members using online tools. They often participate in the entire development process, from concept to deployment, ensuring that the final product runs smoothly across multiple platforms. Effective communication and time management skills are essential for success in a remote setting.

How does a Remote Unity 3D Developer typically collaborate with artists and designers on a distributed team?

As a Remote Unity 3D Developer, collaboration with artists and designers is usually facilitated through project management tools, version control systems, and regular virtual meetings. You’ll often use platforms like Slack, Trello, or Jira for task coordination, and tools like Git or Perforce for managing changes to code and assets. Clear communication is essential to ensure everyone is aligned on project goals, and you may participate in daily or weekly stand-ups to discuss progress and address any blockers. This structure helps maintain a smooth workflow despite team members being in different locations.

JOB TITLE: Product Manager
LOCATION: Remote US

THE ROLE:

We're building something new at Splice, a product at the intersection of creativity and technology, designed to unlock a new kind of experience for music makers. As Product Manager, you will own the full ecosystem around this new creative experience: how creators share what they make, how their identity shows up on the platform, how new users discover the app and decide to stay, and how the web experience turns visitors into active creators.

These surfaces are not secondary. They are what turns a great creative tool into a creative community.

You will own the ecosystem layer end to end: sharing mechanics, creative profiles, social features, landing pages to drive awareness, and the monetization UX that sits between free and paid. Your job is to make sure that what gets built outside the app is as intentional and polished as what gets built inside it.

This is a hands-on execution role. You will run discovery with creators, partner tightly with design, drive delivery with engineering, and own web and mobile business metrics.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Own the product strategy and execution for the ecosystem surfaces: home, sharing, creative profiles, follow and discovery mechanics, logged-out web landing pages, and paiement flows.
  • Run a continuous discovery loop: user interviews, session replays, usability tests, focused on the moments that happen before and after the core creative experience.
  • Partner closely with design to shape flows from first concept through to shipped experience. You have a strong enough design eye to catch what is off before it reaches engineering.
  • Drive delivery alongside engineering: write crisp specs, run sprints, track progress, hold the quality bar.
  • Track performance across your surfaces using our analytics platform, own event instrumentation, and use data to make sharp prioritization calls.
  • Shape the product side of growth: identify the funnel gaps, propose the experiments, and surface the changes that move the needle.
  • Use modern tools: AI assistants, research synthesizers, internal tooling, as a core part of how you work.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Around 5 years of product management experience in a consumer, social, or creator-facing environment.
  • A strong design eye. You think in flows and details. You notice when something feels off and can articulate why.
  • Experience owning web or social product surfaces: profiles, sharing, discovery, onboarding, or growth mechanics.
  • Hands-on UXR experience: you have recruited participants, run interviews, synthesized findings, and turned them into a prioritized direction.
  • Comfort owning delivery directly with engineers, from scoping through to shipping and monitoring.
  • Metrics fluency: you are comfortable with funnel analysis, product analytics, and event tracking platforms like Amplitude.
  • High agency and strong judgment. You identify what needs to happen and move on it without being told.

NICE TO HAVES:

  • Experience with growth funnels, onboarding optimization, or lifecycle engagement.
  • Familiarity with monetization UX: paywall design, free-to-paid conversion, pricing page mechanics.
  • Background in music, creative tools, or the broader creator economy.
  • Exposure to AI-assisted workflows for research synthesis, spec writing, or discovery.

SPLICE BENEFITS:

  • Compensation & Equity: Competitive pay with annual reviews and equity opportunities.
  • Time Off: Unlimited PTO to recharge and thrive.
  • Health & Wellness: Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your dependents.
  • Retirement Savings: 401(k) plan with immediate vesting and company match.
  • Parental Support: 12 weeks of fully paid parental leave for non-birthing parents, and 18-20 weeks for birthing parents.
  • Flexible Work Options: Work remotely or connect at our office hubs and creative spaces worldwide.
  • Professional Growth: Annual learning budget, leadership programs, and team ambassador opportunities.
  • Community & Connection: Inclusive events, team meet-ups, and vibrant Employee Resource Groups.

The national pay range for this role is $97,600 - $122,000. Individual compensation will be commensurate with the candidate's experience.
