Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and preliminary interviews, carefully documenting each client's case from initial consultation through the completion of treatment.
• Develop individualized, evidence-based treatment plans that incorporate therapeutic interventions catering to the diverse needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Lead individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing various counseling techniques and modalities to foster healing and personal growth.
• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, ensuring a proactive and adaptive approach to care.
• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare providers, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to create comprehensive intervention strategies.
• Manage referrals and coordinate with other service providers to facilitate seamless transitions in client care.
• Provide guidance and resources to families and caregivers, equipping them to support their loved ones through various mental health challenges.
• Engage in continued education and professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in mental health practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our clients come from a wide spectrum of backgrounds and experiences, including those facing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction, and relationship challenges. As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, you will play a key role in addressing the psychological needs of our client base, employing culturally sensitive practices to foster trust and openness.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor/Mental Health Service Provider (LPC/MHSP), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Tennessee.
• A successful completion of the National Counselor Exam (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, crucial for client interactions and documentation.
• Demonstrated understanding of the underlying factors contributing to clients' mental health concerns, including physical health conditions and substance use disorders.

Preferred Experience

• Prior experience in a mental health counseling role, with a proven track record of developing effective therapeutic relationships.
• Familiarity with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, to streamline client data management.
• Knowledge of best practices promoted by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and an understanding of psychotropic medication effects as prescribed by medical providers.
• A compassionate and empathetic approach combined with exceptional interpersonal skills to foster rapport with clients.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, and we offer a generous sign-on bonus. In addition to a competitive salary, we provide:
