About the Role
U-Haul is seeking a talented and experienced Quality Assurance Analyst to join our Core Services - Field and Customer Software Development Team. This team supports multiple critical systems that are central to the U-Haul software ecosystem.
As a QA Analyst, you will play a key role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and performance of software solutions built on the Microsoft technology stack, including .NET, C#, SQL, and Postgres. You'll test backend workflows, APIs, and event-driven architectures built around Kafka and CQRS principles to ensure software is reliable before deployment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, document, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scenarios.
  • Perform backend and API testing for WebAPI, REST, and SOAP services.
  • Write and execute SQL Server and Postgres queries to validate data integrity and business logic.
  • Assist in testing Kafka event-driven workflows and asynchronous processing.
  • Identify, isolate, and document software defects with clear root cause analysis.
  • Utilize monitoring and logging tools to analyze system behavior and performance.
  • Collaborate closely with developers and business partners in an Agile/Scrumban environment.

Minimum Qualifications
  • 1-3 years of software quality assurance experience or a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States. No sponsorship is available for this position.
  • Experience with: Postman WCF Storm Swagger / OpenAPI SQL Server Postgres Azure DevOps Dynatrace Kibana / Elastic Search
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience documenting defects and working within Agile teams.
