Job description

Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a REMOTE Software Engineer job with a key client in the Hospitality Space. If you have eight or more years of experience with ReactJS and a strong full-stack background with a focus on front-end development, this CONTRACT opportunity could be a great fit for you. In this role, you will design, develop, and implement enterprise-level applications using ReactJS, NextJS, NodeJS, GraphQL, and TypeScript while working closely with stakeholders and business teams to deliver high-quality solutions. You will bring a collaborative, inquisitive mindset and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced agile environment.

Software Engineer Job Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement enterprise-level applications with a strong emphasis on front-end development using ReactJS, NextJS, and TypeScript
  • Handle complex full-stack projects involving scalable databases, API integrations, and cloud environments
  • Write efficient, reusable code for high-quality, responsive, and cross-platform applications
  • Participate in code reviews, ensure compliance with best coding standards, and contribute to problem-solving and debugging efforts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, delivering tasks on time within sprint cycles while working independently to meet deadlines

Qualifications:

  • Eight plus years of experience with ReactJS or a similar JavaScript framework
  • Strong proficiency in TypeScript, NextJS, ReactQuery, GraphQL, and the nx monorepo toolset
  • Proven experience designing and consuming GraphQL-based backend systems
  • Experience with Docker for containerization, user-level UNIX/Bash/CLI, and GIT including pull requests, merging, and resolving conflicts in a volatile codebase
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills with a positive, inquisitive attitude and willingness to share knowledge and explore alternative solutions
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
