This is a remote position.

Location: Remote - Preference for Candidates in the Washibgton, Maryland, Virginia (DMV) Metro
Eligibility: Open to Only U.S Citizens & GC Holders
Position Type: Contract
Minimum Availability: 40 hours per week

Role Summary
Frontend implementation across Drupal theming, MDWDS components, page templates, and accessibility remediation throughout the build and migration phases.

Key Responsibilities  
  • Build site theme and page templates using MDWDS.
  • Perform manual page builds during content migration.
  • Migrate front-end components from legacy to new templates.
  • Apply accessibility fixes in templates for remediation.
  • Implement front-end redirect handling logic.
  • Resolve UI/UX defects during QA and verification.
  • Document UI components for governance.
  • Apply bug fixes and content edits during hyper-care.


Requirements
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 8 years of frontend development experience.
  • Drupal theming experience using Twig.
  • Strong HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript skills.
  • Experience with design systems (MDWDS, USWDS, or equivalent).
  • Accessibility-aware development at WCAG 2.1 Level AA.
  • Experience with state or federal accessibility audits.
