Vista Counseling Center is actively seeking a full-time Clinical Mental Health Therapist with expertise in mood disorders to join our dedicated team. This position operates within a remote setting, allowing you to deliver care from any location while engaging with clients primarily through virtual platforms. Despite the physical distance, you will work closely with a supportive team of psychiatrists and fellow therapists, engaging in regular meetings to ensure a cohesive approach to client treatment. You will also have access to a digital platform for case documentation and progress tracking, ensuring seamless communication and updates on client care.

• Conduct detailed assessments to measure the intensity, recurrence, and impact of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Work collaboratively with clients to design personalized treatment plans that reflect their distinct needs, objectives, and preferences.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to effectively address mood disorders.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, discussing treatment strategies and self-care methods to enhance their understanding and coping mechanisms.
• Track and evaluate client progress throughout therapy, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans to improve outcomes.
• Partner with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to deliver integrated care that supports each client's treatment plan.
• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment, integrating new knowledge into therapeutic practices.
• Ensure all records of client sessions, evaluations, and treatment plans are maintained accurately and confidentially, adhering to ethical guidelines.
• Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development to continuously refine clinical skills and implement best practices in treatment.
• Act as a client advocate, promoting understanding and de-stigmatization of mood disorders within the community.

You will primarily serve individuals with mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety disorders. Your ability to connect and empathize with clients from varied backgrounds will be integral to fostering trust and safety in the therapeutic relationship, a critical component in achieving positive mental health outcomes.

• Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• A current and valid license as an LCSW, LPCC, or LMFT in California is required.
• A minimum of three years of relevant work experience in mental health settings, with an emphasis on mood disorder treatment preferred.
• Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic approaches such as CBT and DBT is essential.
• Solid understanding of psychopharmacology and a collaborative mindset when working alongside psychiatrists and healthcare teams.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a diverse clientele.

• Preference for candidates with two or more years of post-licensure experience specifically focusing on mood disorders.
• A proven track record of achieving positive treatment outcomes in a clinical setting.

The salary for this full-time position ranges from USD 115,000 to 130,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
