Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' needs and develop personalized treatment plans that align with their goals.

  • Implement specific therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy to address issues including anxiety, depression, and stress management.

  • Provide crisis intervention services, delivering immediate support and developing safety plans for clients in distress.

  • Facilitate ongoing sessions for individuals with mental health diagnoses or substance use disorders, ensuring appropriate intervention and support for sustained recovery.

  • Collaborate with clients to create individualized treatment plans that reflect their personal challenges, including family dynamics, behavioral patterns, and adjustment issues.

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client files and documentation to comply with legal and ethical guidelines in mental health care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The clients you will work with encompass a diverse demographic, including adolescents and adults facing a variety of mental health challenges. Many of our clients are navigating their academic or professional lives while struggling with issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship difficulties. Your role will be crucial in providing empathetic support to help them build coping strategies and achieve their personal goals.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in mental health counseling.

  • An active and valid state licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).

  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology.

  • Exceptional communication and problem-solving skills, demonstrating a high level of empathy and understanding when working with clients.

  • The ability to cultivate and maintain strong therapeutic relationships with clients, fostering trust and safety in the therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience

Experience working with a diverse population, especially in a school or community health setting, is preferred. Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapy techniques will be advantageous, as will experience in crisis intervention and trauma-informed care practices.
