This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to work remotely while providing critical support to clients striving to regain and maintain their independence in daily life. In this role, you will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create tailored care plans that empower clients to achieve their personal and professional goals.

About the Organization

Millennia Counseling and Treatment Centre is dedicated to improving the mental health and overall well-being of individuals in our community. We take pride in our holistic approach to treatment, utilizing evidence-based methods to address various mental health challenges. Our team consists of highly skilled professionals, including psychologists, occupational therapists, and social workers, all united by a common mission of fostering positive change. We believe every client deserves personalized care that supports their unique needs and aspirations.

Work Environment

This role is primarily remote, allowing you to connect with clients in a flexible setting while engaging in meaningful therapy sessions. You will initially work under the direction of the Assistant Director, who will provide guidance and mentorship as you navigate client care and treatment planning. While our primary focus is on virtual interactions, you may occasionally participate in meetings or team-building events at our outpatient office located in Atlanta, Georgia.

Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will be expected to:

  • Conduct initial assessments to meet with clients, discussing their goals, preferences, and available treatment options before developing individualized rehabilitation plans.
  • Create and modify rehabilitation plans based on clients' education levels, physical abilities, and future employment goals, ensuring plans evolve as care progresses.
  • Collaborate closely with a diverse team of medical professionals to design and implement comprehensive rehabilitation programs tailored to meet clients' specific needs.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed case files, including personal client information, eligibility, insurance coverage, services provided, and progress notes.
  • Monitor and document client progress regularly to ensure treatment goals are being met, making necessary adjustments to enhance efficacy.
  • Engage with clients throughout job training and occupational placement programs, serving as a point of contact to resolve any issues that arise.
  • Work with clients' families and support networks to ensure that needs are addressed effectively and that clients receive holistic support.
  • Create timely documentation of client needs and treatment progress, providing relevant reports as required.
  • Facilitate referrals to appropriate resources and services, ensuring that clients have access to the care they need.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily involves working with clients who experience mental health challenges, including mood disorders and other psychological conditions. You will likely encounter a diverse range of individuals, each bringing unique needs and circumstances. Your expertise will be crucial in providing effective, empathetic, and tailored support.

Qualifications
  • Educational Background: A Master's Degree in counseling, social work, psychology, or marriage and family therapy is required.
  • Licensure: You must hold a valid Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) license.
  • Experience: Prior experience in mental health treatment, particularly with clients in residential or outpatient settings, is highly valued.
  • Collaborative Spirit: A commitment to teamwork with a passion for fostering positive client outcomes is essential.
  • Clinical Proficiency: Demonstrated skills in motivational interviewing, cognitive-behavioral therapy, and dialectical behavioral therapy, as well as strong documentation abilities.
Preferred Experience

While the above qualifications are mandatory, experience with specialized populations or in particular treatment modalities will be considered an asset. Familiarity with contemporary therapeutic techniques and a solid understanding of the challenges facing clients with mental health issues also contribute to a strong candidate profile.

Compensation and Benefits

Successful candidates can expect a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 85,000 to 100,000. In addition, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to support your well-being and professional growth:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage for you and your family.
  • Short-term and long-term disability benefits, along with life insurance for financial security.
  • A 401k program with up to a 5% match, aiding in your long-term financial stability.
  • Generous paid time off policy, allowing for 4 weeks of PTO plus paid floating holidays each year to ensure a healthy work-life balance.
  • Access to a robust employee assistance program, encompassing counseling, financial planning, and legal consultations.
  • Advancement in your career through continued education support and ongoing clinical supervision at no cost.
  • A collaborative and supportive community of therapists, fostering teamwork and a positive working atmosphere.
  • A manageable caseload that ensures you can provide individualized attention to each client.
