• Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients’ mental health needs, strengths, and challenges, leading to personalized treatment plans that align with their specific goals.
• Utilize a variety of therapeutic modalities and techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), mindfulness practices, and family systems therapy to address the diverse needs of clients.
• Implement individual and group therapy sessions, adjusting approaches based on real-time feedback and the unique dynamics of each client or family unit.
• Maintain meticulous and secure client records in compliance with HIPAA and ethical standards, documenting progress notes, treatment modifications, and client feedback to support ongoing care.
• Regularly collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists and social workers, to coordinate care and enhance treatment outcomes for clients.

You will work with a diverse client population, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a range of mental health challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship issues. This role requires cultural sensitivity and an understanding of the unique experiences of clients from varied backgrounds, ensuring that care is tailored to meet the specific needs of each individual.

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required. A Master’s degree or higher is preferred to provide comprehensive mental health services.
• Active Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LCMHC) certification in the state of Vermont is mandatory.
• Minimum of two years of direct counseling experience is required, providing a solid foundation in therapeutic practices and client management.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills are essential for building rapport with clients and collaborating with team members.
• Proven ability to work both independently and in collaborative team settings is crucial for success in this role.

• Experience in a community health setting, understanding the intricacies of providing mental health services within diverse populations.
