Who: Strong, stable, nine-figure live entertainment startup backed by high-profile founders
What: CPA Controller leading event-level financial oversight, budgeting, and accounting operations
When: Immediate need
Where: 100% Remote (Travel 5-10x per year to live events)
Why: Growth - ground-level opportunity to build and scale the internal finance function

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead cost forecasting and budgeting for live events (venue rental, staging, lighting, production, etc.)
  • Perform project-based accounting and financial modeling to determine event profitability

  • Partner with executive leadership on strategic financial planning and growth initiatives
  • Support the continued build-out of the internal accounting infrastructure
  • Travel to live events approximately 5-10 times annually
Qualifications:

  • 7-10 years of accounting experience, ideally within live events, concerts, production studios, television production, or sports production
  • Strong cost forecasting and budgeting experience in production-based environments
  • Experience with project accounting and event-level reconciliation
  • Comfortable in a demanding, early-stage startup environment
  • Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset
  • Willingness to work extended hours and occasional weekends as events require

This is a unique opportunity to step into a high-impact leadership role at a company experiencing rapid growth, where your financial oversight will directly influence the success and scalability of major live productions.
