What is remote trauma registry coding?

Remote trauma registry coding is the process of reviewing, abstracting, and entering data about trauma patients into a specialized database, all while working from a remote location. Trauma registry coders analyze medical records to accurately code injuries, treatments, and outcomes according to established guidelines. This information is used to improve trauma care, meet regulatory requirements, and support research. Remote positions allow coders to perform these duties from home or other off-site locations, using secure access to hospital records and databases.
