Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and current mental health needs.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that prioritize trauma recovery, drawing from evidence-based practices.
  • Utilize therapeutic interventions such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) to facilitate patient healing.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for patients to process their trauma and learn healthy coping strategies.
  • Collaborate with psychiatrists and an interdisciplinary team to provide integrated, holistic care tailored to each patient.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patient safety and emotional support.
  • Educate patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping mechanisms, empowering them with knowledge and resources.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential electronic health records (EHR) that comply with legal and ethical standards.
  • Participate in regular case consultations, team meetings, and continued education initiatives to remain updated on best practices in trauma care.
Patient Population / Client Focus

This position primarily focuses on working with adults and adolescents affected by various trauma-related conditions, including PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will play a crucial role in assisting patients in navigating their trauma recovery journeys through evidence-based approaches and compassionate support.

Qualifications
  • Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Arizona.
  • Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting, particularly focusing on trauma treatment.
  • Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders and familiarity with trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Possess excellent interpersonal, communication, and empathetic skills, fostering a non-judgmental therapeutic relationship with clients.
  • Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and other relevant software.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in delivering trauma-informed therapies and interventions directly related to PTSD and complex trauma.
  • Ability to manage high-stress situations with composure, providing guidance and support during crisis scenarios.
  • Experience working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team approach to patient care.
