Work Environment

The position is conducted entirely via Telehealth, allowing you to engage with patients from the comfort of your own home. This remote work setting promotes flexibility and empowers you to maintain a healthy work-life balance. Your typical hours will be Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough and sensitive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories, trauma experiences, and mental health needs.
• Develop and tailor individualized treatment plans with evidence-based methodologies aimed at fostering resilience and recovery.
• Utilize advanced therapeutic techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate effective healing.
• Lead both individual and group therapy sessions focusing on trauma processing and coping mechanism development.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, to ensure comprehensive care and support for our patients.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention for patients experiencing trauma-related emergencies.
• Educate patients and their families about trauma, effective coping strategies, and available community resources.
• Ensure meticulous and confidential record-keeping in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in team meetings and case consultations to continuously enhance trauma-informed practices.
• Stay abreast of the latest research and best practices crucial for trauma recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your role will be working with clients who have experienced trauma, whether from PTSD, complex trauma, or dissociative disorders. Your ability to understand the nuances and intricacies of these conditions will be crucial in effectively guiding our patients through their recovery process. By employing a trauma-informed lens, you will foster a therapeutic alliance that promotes trust and safety, essential for successful interventions.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.
• A minimum of two years of professional experience in mental health therapy, particularly in trauma-focused settings.
• Strong foundation in trauma-related disorders, treatment modalities, and resilience-building approaches.
• Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant digital tools.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate a compassionate, non-judgmental therapeutic environment.
• Capable of maintaining composure and professionalism during high-pressure situations.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in delivering trauma-focused therapies or interventions tailored to children, adolescents, and adults.
• Involvement in community mental health initiatives or programs supporting trauma recovery.
• Familiarity with best practice standards in trauma-informed care.

Compensation and Benefits
