Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, including diagnostic interviews, psychosocial evaluations, and risk assessments to determine the needs and appropriate interventions for students.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans in collaboration with students, focusing on mutual goals that take into account their cultural background and individual challenges.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions, utilizing therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused brief therapy (SFBT) during individual, couple, family, and group sessions.
• Provide crisis intervention and collaborate with external healthcare providers, school professionals, and families to ensure a cohesive care experience for students in distress.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation including treatment plans and progress notes, adhering to all regulatory and clinic standards.
• Offer psychoeducation to students and their families, equipping them with coping mechanisms and strategies to manage their mental health effectively.
• Engage in ongoing assessments of treatment efficacy and adjust plans based on outcome measures and feedback received from clients.
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in mental health care, integrating innovative approaches into your clinical practice.
• Adhere to ethical guidelines and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with children and adolescents from diverse cultural backgrounds who are facing emotional and behavioral challenges. Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• An active State license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• Proficiency in working within a multidisciplinary team and the ability to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders in a school environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to establish connections and trust with clients and their families, especially those from diverse backgrounds.
