• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments to evaluate patients' histories, experiences, and needs, ensuring the establishment of effective treatment approaches.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans grounded in trauma recovery principles and resilience-building strategies tailored to each patient's unique circumstances.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to deliver impactful interventions.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions designed to help patients process trauma, cultivate coping mechanisms, and enhance overall emotional healing.
• Collaborate comprehensively with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, addressing complex treatment needs effectively.
• Provide crisis intervention and immediate support during trauma-related emergencies, effectively managing high-stress situations with professionalism and skill.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping strategies, and available community resources, promoting an understanding of their journey.
• Document all patient interactions and treatment progress accurately and confidentially, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
• Engage actively in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to enrich knowledge and skills in trauma-informed practices.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy, ensuring that care remains relevant and effective.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Must hold a current and valid license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Georgia.
• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in the mental health field is preferred.
• Strong understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment modalities, and resilience-building strategies is essential.
• Demonstrated experience in administering trauma-focused therapies and interventions is required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, accompanied by a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor, are critical for patient engagement.
• The ability to remain composed and effective in high-pressure situations is a must.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with computer applications is necessary for efficient documentation.
• A collaborative spirit is essential, as you will be part of a multidisciplinary team committed to comprehensive patient care.

A minimum of two years of experience providing trauma-informed therapy services is preferred, as is a deep knowledge of trauma response and recovery methodologies. Familiarity with community resources and support systems will be advantageous in assisting clients to build their networks.
