• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate clients' trauma histories and determine effective treatment approaches tailored to individual needs.
• Design and implement personalized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, integrating resilience-building strategies that empower clients in their healing journeys.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), adapted to the unique circumstances of each client.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that provide a safe space for clients to process trauma and build effective coping mechanisms to promote holistic healing.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive, integrated patient care, fostering an environment that prioritizes overall well-being.
• Provide timely crisis intervention and emotional support during trauma-related emergencies, demonstrating a readiness to respond to high-stress situations calmly and effectively.

As a Licensed Professional Counselor at Summit Behavioral Health Resources, you will primarily work with individuals who have experienced trauma, including but not limited to childhood adversity, domestic violence, and complex trauma. Our focus is on providing tailored therapy that enhances emotional resilience and promotes recovery. • A master's or doctoral degree in Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Texas.
• Strong foundation in trauma-informed treatment modalities and a thorough understanding of trauma-related disorders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach in all client interactions.
• Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and a comfort with various computer applications for documentation and case management.

• At least two years of post-licensure experience, with a focus on trauma-related therapies.

Summit Behavioral Health Resources offers a competitive compensation package, which includes a salary of up to $110,000 per year, coupled with guaranteed pay, annual increases, and bonus opportunities. Additional benefits include paid orientation, monthly professional development opportunities, and generous paid time off (PTO). Counselors will also benefit from flexible scheduling, with services provided seven days a week from 7 am to 10 pm. We cover costs associated with credentialing, ensuring a fast-tracked clinical caseload established typically within the first 90 days.
