This full-time position focuses on providing specialized therapeutic care for individuals affected by trauma, including those battling complex trauma, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), and dissociative disorders.

As a Mental Health Therapist at Family Matters Health Care Clinic, you will be entrusted with various critical responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and establish appropriate treatment plans tailored to their unique needs.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aimed at fostering trauma recovery and strengthening resilience.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), in your therapeutic practice.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that guide patients in processing trauma, honing coping strategies, and advancing their healing journey.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to ensure an integrated approach to patient care.
• Provide essential crisis intervention and mental health support during trauma-related emergencies, remaining calm and composed in high-stress situations.
• Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and available resources, fostering an informed support system.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation compliant with legal, ethical, and clinic standards.
• Participate actively in case consultations, team meetings, and professional development, with a focus on enhancing trauma-informed care practices.
• Commit to ongoing professional development by staying informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy.

You will primarily work with individuals who have encountered significant trauma, including those with complex trauma narratives, LGBTQ+ individuals, veterans, and survivors of abuse. Understanding the unique needs of these populations is paramount in facilitating effective treatment modalities and nurturing a healing environment.

Ideal candidates will possess the following qualifications:

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Valid and active licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Texas.
• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of trauma-related disorders, trauma-informed treatment strategies, and resilience-focused interventions.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and non-judgmental approach.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and general computer applications for documentation and case management.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team setting.

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred, candidates who have experience in delivering trauma-informed care and employing trauma-focused therapies will be given extra consideration. A strong track record of effectively handling high-stress scenarios and crisis management is essential.

Family Matters Health Care Clinic offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
