• Conduct thorough, trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' trauma histories and establish appropriate treatment methodologies.
• Formulate and execute individualized treatment plans that emphasize trauma recovery, resilience, and personal growth.
• Implement evidence-based therapies, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), ensuring a structured approach to therapy.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions that allow patients to process their experiences, develop effective coping strategies, and foster a sense of healing.
• Work collaboratively with psychiatrists and multi-disciplinary professionals to ensure a seamless continuum of care for every patient.
• Provide immediate crisis intervention and psychological support for patients facing trauma-related emergencies, contributing to rapid stabilization.
• Educate patients and their family members about common trauma responses, coping mechanisms, and accessible resources.
• Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in compliance with all legal and ethical guidelines, ensuring the highest standards of patient privacy.
• Engage in regular case consultations, team meetings, and professional development initiatives focused on trauma-informed care practices.
• Continuously update knowledge on the latest research and effective practices in trauma therapy to enhance the quality of care provided.

This position focuses primarily on adults who have experienced significant trauma, including those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Your work will be vital in creating tailored therapeutic strategies that acknowledge and address the complexities of trauma recovery.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), Psychologist, or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California.
• At least 2 years of relevant post-licensure experience is highly preferred.
• In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed therapeutic techniques is essential.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, non-judgmental approach to therapy.
• Ability to maintain composure in high-stress scenarios, fostering a supportive space for clients.
• Experience using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant computer applications.
• A collaborative spirit that thrives in a multidisciplinary team environment.

• Previous experience working in a community health setting, particularly with trauma-affected individuals.
• Training in trauma-focused therapeutic modalities and techniques is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional ability to communicate effectively with patients, ensuring clarity and understanding in therapeutic interactions.

The salary for this vital role ranges from USD 90,000 to 110,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
