As a Licensed Mental Health Therapist at Levan Counseling, you will:

• Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed assessments that evaluate patients' trauma history, allowing for informed treatment planning.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans centered on trauma recovery goals and resilience-building strategies.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to aid patients in processing their experiences.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions that guide clients in developing coping mechanisms and effective strategies for healing.
• Collaborate closely with psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to provide integrated, holistic care tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients.
• Offer crisis intervention and therapeutic support during trauma-related emergencies.
• Provide education to patients and their families about trauma responses and effective coping strategies, thereby empowering them with knowledge and resources.
• Maintain accurate documentation and engage in case consultations and professional development activities that enhance trauma-informed care practices.
• Stay informed about the latest research and best practices in trauma therapy to continuously improve the quality of care offered.

A significant portion of your work will center on individuals who have experienced trauma, including those dealing with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. You will work in a supportive environment where the focus is on creating safe therapeutic spaces that promote positive mental health outcomes. Your role is critical in empowering clients to overcome barriers to healing, thereby enhancing their quality of life.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess:

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in the state of Pennsylvania.
• Strong grasp of trauma-related disorders and trauma-informed treatment modalities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a non-judgmental, compassionate approach.
• A calm demeanor in high-stress situations, ensuring effective crisis management.
• Proficiency with EHR systems and various computer applications typical in mental health settings.

While not required, the following qualifications would enhance your candidacy:

• At least 2 years of post-licensure experience in a mental health setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in delivering trauma-focused therapies and interventions.
