What we need

Exol is seeking a Transportation Senior Analyst, Planning & Load Optimization to support the design, execution, and continuous improvement of transportation plans across our growing logistics network for assigned DC/POC. This role is responsible for day-to-day carrier execution, operational relationships, capacity confirmation, service recovery, and performance follow-up while providing cross-trained backup support for adjacent POD activities when required. The role focuses on transportation planning, consolidation, and network optimization activities.

The Analyst will work in Manhattan TMS and related operating systems to manage carrier communications, tender and capacity exceptions, pickup readiness, in-transit service risks, delivery completion, and performance follow-up. The ideal candidate will leverage data, planning tools, and operational insight to maximize trailer utilization, reduce transportation costs, and support scalable network growth.

What you'll do

  • Daily Carrier Management & Capacity Confirmation: Serve as the main carrier contact, ensuring load execution, capacity availability, schedule management, and issue resolution through approved carriers and established processes.

  • Tender, Pickup & Delivery Execution: Oversee tender and load execution, ensuring carrier compliance, shipment visibility, milestone tracking, POD collection, and accurate system updates through delivery.

  • Exception Management & Service Recovery: Oversee transportation exceptions, drive recovery efforts, escalate service and compliance issues, and support continuous improvement through root cause analysis.

  • Carrier Performance & Relationship Management: Track carrier performance, support continuous improvement initiatives, and strengthen carrier relationships to enhance service and reliability.

  • Compliance, Controls & Cross-Functional Coordination: Support transportation compliance and collaborate across planning, operations, customer service, and billing teams to optimize network performance and continuous improvement.

What we need

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Operations, or related field preferred or equivalent industry experience

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in transportation planning, load optimization, routing, dispatch, or logistics operations.

  • Working knowledge of FTL and LTL transportation, tendering, capacity management, pickup and delivery execution, and carrier service requirements.

  • Experience utilizing Transportation Management Systems, preferably Manhattan Active TM.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with carrier scorecards, operational data, and performance metrics.

  • Experience managing multi-origin, multi-stop routing and freight consolidation activities.

  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred

  • Experience supporting retailer consolidation, cross-dock, multi-stop, or appointment-driven transportation operations.

  • Hands-on experience with Manhattan TMS or another enterprise TMS and familiarity with EDI/API-enabled carrier workflows.

  • Experience with carrier scorecards, service reviews, corrective-action plans, and transportation compliance tools.

Our Environment

  • Up to25% of travel may berequired. Employees must have a valid driver's license and the ability to drive and/or fly to client and other customer locations.

  • The employeeis responsible forowning a credit card and managing expenses personally to be reimbursed on a bi-weekly basis.

The base range for this position in the posted location is $77,000.00 - $105,600.00 however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The compensation package includes medical, dental, vision, disability, 401K, PTO and/or other benefits.
