EisnerAmper is seeking a manager to join our Tax Resource Management team. This position will work closely with members of the tax practice, HR, Operations, and Talent Development to fulfill staffing needs in a matrix environment by scheduling tax colleagues to work assignments across multiple client engagements. This role can be based out of our Gulf Coast or Chicago offices. We are also open to the role being remote from TX or surrounding states.

What Work You Will be Responsible For:

Assign the right client service personnel to engagements by evaluating the specific needs of the engagement, reviewing available options, and recommending individuals who meet the requirements of the office/region and the client. When necessary, challenge the proposed schedule to ensure the most efficient use of resources.

Monitor resources and their utilization, serving as the primary point of contact for local unassigned staff. Proactively identify and assign relevant tasks or projects to ensure effective resource deployment.

  • Address conflicts within the engagement team by identifying alternative roles that align with both the engagement's needs and the staff's developmental goals.

  • Identify personnel who are over- or under-utilized and determine the best resources or solutions to balance the workload effectively.

  • Design, generate, and analyze reports on utilization, billable hours variance, chargeability, and any other ad-hoc reports requested by leadership.

  • Provides key deployment insights, trends, and recommendations to the appropriate business leader(s).

  • Maintains deep knowledge of current business priorities, service offerings, skill profiles, client engagements, and active client pursuits.

  • Coaches and mentors junior team members to execute their role on the team

  • Lead and support deployment initiatives to improve our overall deployment capabilities, drive more value for the business, and advance our deployment vision

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 5+ years of resource management/scheduling experience at a public accounting firm

  • 2+ years leading a team in a resource management, recruiting, talent or operational field

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with ProStaff and Workday
