Job description

Leapros Skilled Trades is actively hiring P6 Construction Scheduler (Remote w/ Travel) in Meridian, MS. We are seeking a P6 Construction Scheduler for a contract opportunity with IES Communications, LLC, supporting projects in Meridian, MS, with a remote-plus-travel work structure. The ideal candidate possesses advanced proficiency in Oracle Primavera P6 and a proven track record of managing complex construction schedules to ensure on-time project delivery.

Pay: $55 to $70 Per Hour BOE
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Oracle Primavera P6 for construction and infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field leadership to establish baseline schedules and incorporate periodic updates.
  • Identify critical path activities, potential delays, and schedule risks, recommending effective mitigation strategies to the project team.
  • Support the project team with resource loading, manpower forecasting, and 'what-if' scenario analysis to optimize project performance.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive schedule reports, dashboards, and progress updates for internal leadership and clients.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure schedule alignment with contract milestones, procurement timelines, and critical path deliverables.
  • Analyze the impact of change orders and delays on the project timeline, supporting the documentation for schedule impacts and recovery plans.
  • Conduct periodic site visits in Meridian, MS, and other locations as required to verify field progress and ensure schedule accuracy.
  • Ensure project performance data remains accurate, complete, and useful for all phases of project planning and execution.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience working as a Construction Scheduler with primary responsibility for creating and maintaining project schedules.
  • Advanced proficiency with Oracle Primavera P6 is required for this role.
  • Strong understanding of construction sequencing, means, and methods, preferably in electrical or communications infrastructure.
  • Ability to work effectively in a remote environment while maintaining high levels of collaboration with dispersed teams.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites in Meridian, MS, and other locations as needed to monitor construction progress.
  • Experience with Earned Value Management (EVM), cost/schedule integration, and advanced project reporting.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple project schedules simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills for interfacing with project stakeholders, field personnel, and client representatives.

Physical Requirements:
  • Regularly required to sit at a computer for extended periods to perform scheduling and data analysis.
  • Ability to travel to and navigate active construction sites, which may involve walking on uneven surfaces.
  • Must be able to use hands and fingers to operate a computer, telephone, and keyboard for prolonged periods.
  • Specific vision abilities required include close vision for computer work and distance vision for site safety during travel.
  • Occasionally required to stand, reach, stoop, or kneel during site visits.

Pay Transparency:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $55 to $70 per hour, based on relevant factors such as experience, skills, education, internal equity, and geographic location. Final compensation will be determined during the interview process by the hiring authority.
