Job description

As a claims technician, you help review claims and establish guidelines for the claims settlement process. You serve as technical expert and provide discipline-specific support for the settlement of medium-complexity claims and the development of technical skills. Adaptability is essential to this position. You draw on your sound decision-making skills to help solve technically complex problems and prepare action plans based on claim reviews. More specifically, you will be required to :

  • Provide technical support for contract enforcement
  • Help claims advisors develop their technical skills
  • Analyze and approve claims settlements
  • Conduct research and serve as resource person, proposing solutions to conflicts and situations outside the claims advisor's scope of authority
  • Revise independent adjuster claims.
