Tasks, Duties, and Responsibilities:

Project Management/Client Services:

  • Support the establishment and maturity of a directive PMO with clear delivery standards, governance, roles, and escalation paths.

  • Develop a technology enablement roadmap aligned to operational and project priorities.
  • Improve portfolio visibility through integrated data, reporting, and delivery intelligence.
  • Identify opportunities to use automation and AI to reduce administrative burden and improve decision-making.
  • Establish reusable technology capabilities and standards rather than solving similar problems independently across engagements.
  • Help ensure technology investments ultimately improve responsiveness, situational awareness, and outcomes for emergency-management stakeholders.
  • Support technology focused projects to ensure consistent delivery and quality assurance.
  • Manage, lead, and develop teams of project managers that can support technology focused projects across ACDC’s portfolio.
  • Partner with business development on strategic pursuits, bringing delivery and technology expertise into solution shaping early.
  • Identify recurring client needs and translate them into scalable products, accelerators, frameworks, or managed services.
  • Create a feedback loop between pursuits, delivery, lessons learned, and product strategy.
  • Help develop differentiated, technology-enabled solutions for the emergency-management market.
  • Support the business development and establishment of a project management portfolio
  • Translate high-level strategic objectives into actionable project plans and measurable outcomes for divisional growth and alignment.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Finance, Operations, Legal, HR, DTI, and external partners.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • The Senior Director has direct supervisory responsibility as outlined in the company organization chart.

Expected Hours of Work:

Schedule may vary. Work on evenings and weekends may be required. Dependability and punctuality are paramount.

Travel Requirements:

  • Up to 50% travel is expected for this position.
  • Must be willing to travel and deploy to client sites for extended periods of time.

Physical Demands:

  • Mobility required on-site with clients.
  • Sitting or standing for hours at a time.
  • Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time if needed.
  • Ability to manipulate up to 25 lbs. repetitively throughout the day and as needed.

Working Environment:

  • Emergency management personnel may work in an office or home environment or be deployed to the field which may require working outdoors in adverse weather conditions.
  • Work may be on-site with clients ex: EOC, hospital, debris sites or local government buildings.
  • All AC Disaster Consulting (ACDC) positions are remote work site positions with the home location agreed upon at time of hire.
  • If the remote work site locations change, ACDC Human Resources must be made aware, and leadership needs to approve any site changes for business registration and payroll tax purposes.

Requirements

Experience/Education Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in a closely related and relevant field (years of direct experience may substitute on a year for year basis, in addition to the minimum requirements).
  • 8+ years proven experience in leading and managing complex projects and project teams.
  • 5+ years proven experience in strategic planning and management, preferably in a senior leadership role.
  • In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and influence others.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the industry dynamics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively present complex information to diverse audiences.

Experience/Education Preferred:

  • An advanced degree in closely related and relevant is preferred.
