Position Overview

Aurora Bliss Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to enrich our practice and provide exceptional therapy to our diverse clientele. This full-time position offers the flexibility of remote work while maintaining a crucial connection to our outpatient office in Houston, Texas. This position comes with a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic evaluations to establish each client’s mental health status and needs.
  • Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapies tailored to the individual needs of clients.
  • Guide clients through therapeutic processes, utilizing various modalities to address issues such as depression, anxiety, substance abuse, and eating disorders.
  • Facilitate regular therapy sessions, either individually or in group settings, to monitor client progress and adjust treatment strategies when necessary.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members, including psychiatrists and social workers, to provide comprehensive care for clients.
  • Maintain client records in accordance with legal and ethical standards using electronic health record (EHR) systems.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid state license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW.
  • A minimum of four years of related psychological or counseling experience.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders, therapeutic methods, and cultural sensitivities.
  • Proven skills in both individual and group therapy settings, with a focus on inclusivity and responsiveness to client needs.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiarity with various therapeutic approaches.
  • Current certification in crisis intervention techniques is highly beneficial.
