Description
Advanced Process Technologies, Inc. (APT) is looking to add a Field Installer to join our team. The Field Installer is responsible for the on-site installation of APT systems and equipment at customer locations. This position offers the opportunity to work alongside some of the best Foremen in the industry, gaining valuable hands-on experience. You'll collaborate with an industry expert who has years of experience and a deep understanding of the food and dairy industry.
Travel Requirements:
This position requires 100% travel to customer sites located within the U.S. and North America. Typical travel rotation is 9 days on, including travel days, followed by 5 days off.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Install Stainless Steel equipment and sanitary tubing.
  • Read and interpret P&ID and equipment layout drawings.
  • Take measurements to fit pipe and set equipment.
  • Set up and adjust welding & purge equipment to perform high quality sanitary / purge welds for the specific application.
  • Operate forklifts, scissor lifts and articulating boom lifts.
  • Use rigging tools such as jacks, chain falls, dollies and straps.
  • Operate a variety of grinders & saws to prepare, clean and finish welds.
  • Assemble components using a variety of powered and hand tools.
  • Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety.

Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2 years of experience as a welder using TIG OR completion of a welding program from a recognized institution.
  • Experience with sanitary stainless steel tubing installation and welding.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings (P&ID and layout).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent mathematical skills.
  • Solid understanding of safety practices in a manufacturing / construction setting.
  • Ability to travel up to 100% of the time.

Preferred:
  • One or two-year welding diploma from a technical college.
  • Previous experience in food production environments or sanitary systems installation.
  • Knowledge of safety standards in the welding and installation industry.

Training:
All Field Install new hires will participate in APT's Welding Training Program to gain a thorough understanding of APT's welding standards and practices. This training will ensure you are fully prepared for success in the field by familiarizing you with APT's high standards for quality and safety.

Compensation and Benefits:
Salary range: $27.00 - $37.00 per hour
