This full-time remote position allows therapists to engage deeply with patients, utilizing evidence-based approaches to foster recovery and resilience.

About the Organization

At Health Bridge Psychotherapy Services, we are passionate about creating a safe, supportive environment for trauma survivors. Our outpatient facilities in Elgin, Illinois, prioritize the mental health of our patients as we specialize in treating conditions such as post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), complex trauma, and dissociative disorders. Our skilled professionals collaborate within a multidisciplinary team, ensuring that each patient receives comprehensive and compassionate care tailored to their unique needs.

Work Environment

This therapist position is set in a remote work environment, allowing for flexibility while maintaining connections with our staff and patients. Working remotely means you can effectively balance your professional responsibilities with personal commitments, all while contributing to a mission-driven practice. While predominantly remote, the role involves active communication with colleagues and consistent documentation and interactions within our electronic health record system.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough trauma-informed mental health assessments to understand patients' histories and develop effective treatment strategies.
  • Design and implement individualized treatment plans concentrated on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental wellness.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to address patient needs.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, encouraging emotional processing and development of coping mechanisms.
  • Work alongside psychiatrists and other health care professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
  • Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring safety and stabilization for patients in distress.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, effective coping strategies, and community resources to assist in recovery.
  • Maintain precise and confidential patient documentation, adhering to all legal and ethical standards for mental health practice.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and continuous education efforts focused on trauma-informed care and therapy best practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our practice centers on individuals affected by trauma, requiring a thoughtful and sensitive approach to therapy. You will work with patients experiencing PTSD, complex trauma, and dissociative disorders, providing them with the tools and support needed to navigate their healing journeys. Each session is designed not only to address psychological symptoms but also to empower patients toward personal growth and recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current licensure as an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Illinois, demonstrating your professional readiness to practice.
  • Minimum of 2 years post-licensure experience in mental health counseling, preferably dealing with trauma-related conditions.
  • In-depth knowledge of trauma-related disorders, with proficiency in trauma-informed treatment modalities.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, characterized by a compassionate, non-judgmental demeanor.
  • Ability to maintain composure and professionalism in high-stress situations, advocating for patient needs and well-being.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record systems and commitment to accurate documentation practices.
Preferred Experience
  • Demonstrated experience providing trauma-focused therapies and interventions that have effectively assisted patients in past treatment.
  • History of collaborative work within multidisciplinary teams, enhancing integrated care for better patient outcomes.
Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is between USD 90,000 and 110,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Health Bridge Psychotherapy Services offers a competitive benefits package, including:

  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits to support the well-being of our team members.

  • Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday pay to promote work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage, ensuring peace of mind in your practice.
  • Continuing education opportunities to enhance your skills and support your professional growth.
