In this remote role, social workers primarily engage with clients through virtual platforms and occasionally in local community settings within Arlington, Virginia. The position offers flexibility while ensuring that the essential support for students is delivered seamlessly. • Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans for clients facing major mental illnesses or severe emotional disorders.
• Provide a range of therapeutic interventions, including individual, group, and family therapy, tailored to client needs.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure a cohesive approach to client care and access to necessary resources.
• Conduct evidence-based screenings and facilitate referrals for additional services when required, ensuring that clients receive timely interventions.
• Assist in crisis intervention efforts, employing de-escalation techniques to address immediate client needs and challenges.
• Maintain accurate and timely records, monitor client progress, and ensure compliance with all ethical and professional standards.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance service delivery and client outcomes.

This role focuses on serving a diverse population of students and their families within the school system, many of whom may come from underprivileged backgrounds. Social workers will interact with clients who experience a range of mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depression, and trauma-related conditions, often addressing the intersection of mental health and socio-economic challenges.

• A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Must possess a valid LCSW license in the state of Virginia.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to convey complex concepts in an approachable manner.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, enabling the management of caseload and documentation effectively.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to ethical guidelines.

• At least two years of clinical experience working with children and adolescents in a mental health setting.
• Experience in school-based services or similar environments where proactive mental health support is critical.

This role comes with a competitive salary range of USD 70,000 – 85,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
