• Conduct thorough evaluations to determine the intensity, frequency, and duration of clients' mood disorder symptoms.
• Collaborate with clients to develop personalized treatment plans that align with their unique requirements and personal goals.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) tailored to individual client needs.
• Educate clients and their families on mood disorders, available treatment options, and effective self-care strategies.
• Monitor client progress meticulously, modifying treatment plans as necessary to facilitate optimal outcomes.
• Engage in interprofessional collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to enhance integrated care.
• Stay informed about the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatments to continuously improve care strategies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and opportunities for professional development.
• Advocate for clients’ needs, working to reduce the stigma surrounding mental health issues.

You will primarily work with individuals suffering from mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. Your expertise will be critical in providing support to vulnerable populations, such as homeless individuals, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence, who often face profound challenges in accessing mental health services. Your role is pivotal in guiding these individuals towards effective coping strategies and pathways to recovery.

• Must hold an active license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) within the state of Massachusetts.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, demonstrated by the ability to establish secure and trusting therapeutic relationships with clients.
• A nonjudgmental approach, displaying empathy and compassion for clients’ varied life experiences and struggles.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively manage a diverse caseload.

• Experience working in community health settings or with marginalized populations is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment methods, particularly CBT and DBT.
• Comfort with technology used for remote therapy sessions and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
