• Conduct thorough assessments of clients to evaluate the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to address client concerns effectively.
• Provide education and support to clients and their families regarding mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Monitor client progress and revise treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals for integrated care approaches.
• Stay updated with relevant research and advancements in mood disorder treatment practices.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.
• Participate in case consultations and team meetings to discuss client progress and share insights.
• Advocate for clients' mental health needs and reduce stigma associated with mental health issues.

Your primary focus will be on clients experiencing various mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. The diverse client base you will interact with may include individuals from varied backgrounds, including a significant number dealing with trauma such as homelessness, domestic abuse, or refugee experiences. This role is pivotal in providing both emotional support and practical interventions to help clients navigate their challenges and work towards recovery.

• Current active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is mandatory.
• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are essential to establishing trusting therapeutic relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy, compassion, and a nonjudgmental attitude toward clients' experiences and struggles.
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle a diverse workload effectively.

While not mandatory, experience in providing therapy to clients with mood disorders or related mental health challenges is highly valued. Familiarity with evidence-based practices and a strong commitment to ongoing professional development will also set candidates apart.
