The Bloomingdale Psychotherapy Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) to join our team. In this full-time remote position, you will provide essential mental health care to individuals in correctional facilities. • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations, including crisis interventions, assessments, and follow-up care to ensure continuity of services.
• Implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive evaluations, while coordinating with correctional facilities to manage patient care effectively.
• Prepare and submit required statistical reports, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to ongoing program improvements.
• Collaborate with the Department of Correction to facilitate access to care, appropriate housing, and treatment disposition for each patient.
• Lead and facilitate group therapy sessions within mental health units, providing community support and therapeutic interventions.
• Complete all necessary clinical documentation in adherence to organizational policies and provide accurate reports for weekly clinical supervision sessions.
• Engage in medical and mental health rounds with clinical staff to assess patient needs and participate in multidisciplinary case conferences.
• May conduct psychological testing as part of a comprehensive evaluation process.
• Supervise and mentor social work interns or volunteer students to foster professional growth and competency in mental health services.
• Perform other relevant duties as assigned by clinical supervisors or department heads to enhance program efficacy.

This role focuses on providing mental health care to incarcerated populations, who may present with complex behavioral issues, substance use history, and severe mental health conditions. As a Mental Health Counselor, you will be pivotal in addressing their unique challenges, developing therapeutic relationships based on trust and respect, and facilitating their journey towards mental wellness.

• A valid Licensure in the state of Washington as an LICSW, LMHC, or LMFT is required.
• A Master’s degree or doctorate in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution is mandatory.
• Five years of full-time, paid, professional experience providing direct client care in a behavioral health environment.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough assessments and develop effective treatment plans.

• Preference will be given to candidates with direct experience working in correctional settings or similar environments.
• Experience in treating individuals with severe mental illness and co-occurring disorders will be highly valued.
• Demonstrated ability to lead group therapy sessions, particularly in a high-stress environment.
• Prior involvement in multidisciplinary team settings and integration of mental health interventions within correctional guidelines is advantageous.

Bloomingdale Psychotherapy Center offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 115,000 to 130,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
