Description
The Hotel Account Specialist position entails working closely with insureds, adjusters and other THD reps to ensure hotel accommodations are coordinated on several levels up until the time in which the insured can return home or transition into long term housing. This will include but not be limited to: facilitating/obtaining approvals for long term housing should the hotel stay reach over 21 nights, working with Housing Coordinators once long term housing is established to ensure a smooth transition from hotel to housing, negotiating rates for each extension period to ensure cost effectiveness, confirmation of paperwork to the hotel for each subsequent extension, ensure proper billing is adhered to and work with insureds/front desk agents in the event of any other issues that may arise.
Requirements

- Communicate pertinent information between insureds & adjusters regarding hotel
extensions needs within the SLA guidelines
- Processing paperwork quickly to ensure insureds are extended promptly
- Return emails and voicemails in a timely manner.
- Timely and accurate data entry, meticulous file management, commitment to follow-up
and follow-through.
- Utilize company database and software tools in accordance with company expectations and
guidelines for daily process management.
- Mitigate, communicate and follow-up with insureds, and adjusters regarding any issues
that need to be addressed during the customer's stay, implement satisfactory, timely
resolutions
- Participation in the holiday on-call rotation
- Be available to work beyond normal working hours when THD initiates CAT services

- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this position.

- Prolonged requirement to sit whilst completing computer and desk-based tasks.
- Must be available during the core hours of 7:00AM to 7:00PM CST. During any THD
designated catastrophe you may be required to work additional hours including evenings
and weekends.
Ability to perform well in a high pace environment
Travel required
Must be able to travel for required training and team building which may include overnight
stays in a hotel.
Required education and experience
- High school diploma or the equivalent (GED)
Preferred education and experience
- 1 + years of Insurance Customer Service experience preferred

Good-Faith Estimate (including bonus or commission)
The posted compensation range represents an estimate and may include both base salary and variable components such as commission and performance-based bonuses. Total compensation will ultimately be determined based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
