As part of our team, you will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary group of healthcare professionals, including nurses and addiction specialists, ensuring comprehensive support for our clients. • Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments for clients entering the detox program, taking into account their emotional, mental, and social circumstances.
• Collaborate closely with clients and their families to create individualized care plans that align with the clients' recovery goals and preferences.
• Provide counseling and emotional support, guiding clients through the complexities of their addiction and recovery journey.
• Engage in advocacy for clients by identifying and facilitating access to community resources and services, ensuring their needs are met throughout the recovery process.
• Work within a multidisciplinary team structure to design and implement treatment plans that promote holistic wellness.
• Follow up with clients through regular check-ins and support sessions, monitoring their progress and addressing any emerging concerns.
• Educate clients and their families about addiction, coping strategies, and available resources, fostering a support network that aids recovery.
• Document all client interactions and progress in accordance with organizational policies and regulatory requirements, maintaining rigor in electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Stay informed on current best practices in social work and addiction treatments, ensuring adherence to ethical standards and compliance with regulations.

This role primarily focuses on adults who are engaged in a detox process due to substance use disorders. Understanding the complexities of addiction and its toll on individuals and families is crucial. You will be pivotal in addressing not only the immediate psychological and emotional needs but also the long-term recovery goals of clients post-detox.

• Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Texas.
• A minimum of two years of experience in a social work role, ideally in a healthcare or detox context, is essential.
• Proficient understanding of addiction-related issues, recovery methods, and social work principles.
• Strong skills in assessment, counseling, and problem-solving.
• Exceptional empathy, compassion, and rapport-building skills with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Familiarity with using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and coordination of care is preferred.

• Experience working with clients in a detox or rehabilitation setting is highly desirable.
