What is a remote telemarketer?

Remote telemarketers are professionals who make sales or marketing calls from a location outside of a traditional office, often working from home. Their main responsibilities include contacting potential customers, promoting products or services, and gathering customer information. They use phones or online communication tools to reach clients, follow scripts or guidelines, and record call details for their employers. Remote telemarketing allows companies to access a broader talent pool and provides workers with flexibility in their work environment.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote telemarketer?

To thrive as a Remote Telemarketer, strong verbal communication, persuasive selling skills, and the ability to handle rejection are essential, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with CRM software, auto-dialers, and call tracking systems is typically required. Outstanding listening abilities, resilience, and self-motivation help professionals excel in building rapport and consistently achieving sales targets from a remote environment. These skills and qualities are crucial for effectively engaging potential customers, meeting quotas, and maintaining productivity without direct in-person supervision.

How do remote telemarketers typically stay motivated and productive while working independently from home?

Remote telemarketers often face the challenge of staying focused and motivated without the structure of an in-office environment. Most successful telemarketers set clear daily goals, follow a consistent routine, and leverage company-provided tools such as CRM software to track their progress. Regular virtual check-ins with supervisors and team members also help maintain accountability and foster a sense of connection. Additionally, taking scheduled breaks and creating a dedicated workspace contribute to sustained productivity throughout the day.

Job description

Full-Time or Part Time | In-Office or Remote | Paid Weekly

About Us

We are a growing company looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Business Development Representative to join our team. This position plays a key role in our growth by speaking with prospective business clients and scheduling appointments for our senior sales team.

If you enjoy talking with people, building relationships, and being rewarded for your performance, we'd love to meet you.

Important Information

This is a Business-to-Business (B2B) position.

You will not be calling consumers or individuals. Your conversations will be with small business owners, managers, and other decision-makers. The ideal candidate is comfortable initiating professional conversations, handling objections, and confidently speaking with business owners throughout the day.

What You'll Do

  • Contact company-provided business leads by phone.
  • Speak directly with business owners, managers, and decision-makers.
  • Build rapport with prospective clients.
  • Ask qualifying questions to determine interest.
  • Schedule appointments for our senior sales representatives.
  • Confirm appointments and send reminders.
  • Maintain accurate notes in our CRM.
  • Follow up with prospects who were unavailable or requested a callback.
  • Meet daily and weekly appointment-setting goals.

What We're Looking For

  • Previous B2B (business-to-business) phone experience is strongly preferred.
  • Comfortable calling small businesses throughout the workday.
  • Confident speaking with business owners and key decision-makers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Friendly, professional, and persuasive phone presence.
  • Comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.
  • Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
  • Dependable and punctual.
  • Basic computer and CRM skills.
  • Experience in appointment setting, inside sales, business development, telemarketing, or call center environments is highly preferred.
  • We will train the right candidate on our process, but previous experience making outbound business calls is a significant advantage.

Compensation

This is 100% commission, no base pay: you earn the client's first-month fee ($297–$997) for every appointment you set that becomes a paid client. Uncapped Commissions, paid weekly. Setters who consistently hit the target of only 2 new clients a week can earn in the $3,000–$6,000/month range.

Schedule

You make your own schedule. Work when is best for you. Keep in mind, although you can occasionally reach people in off hours, you will be calling small business owners so the best time to reach them is typically 9am - 6pm local time to them.

Why Join Our Team?

  • Friendly, team-oriented office environment.
  • Stable, year-round position.
  • Growth opportunities within the company. (Ability to advance to Senior Sales Agent with Salary + Commission + Residual Income)
  • Company-provided business leads.
  • No door-to-door sales.
  • No prospecting required.
  • Your focus is speaking with business owners and setting quality appointments for our senior sales team.

Experience in any of the following is highly desirable:

  • B2B Appointment Setter
  • Business Development Representative (BDR)
  • Inside Sales Representative
  • Outbound Sales Representative
  • Lead Generation Specialist
  • Telemarketing Representative
  • Call Center Representative
  • Customer Service Representative with outbound B2B experience

If you're motivated, enjoy speaking with business owners, and want a position where your effort directly impacts your income, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today—we're interviewing immediately.
