• Collaborate closely with the Medical Director and interdisciplinary teams to develop and coordinate effective mental health treatment plans, ensuring continuity of care for patients.
• Deliver in-service training sessions on mental health topics to medical, psychiatric, and security staff, enhancing their understanding and responsiveness to patient needs.
• Proactively intervene during mental health crises, utilizing de-escalation strategies and providing immediate support within the telehealth environment.
• Participate in commitment hearings as warranted, ensuring legal requirements and patient rights are upheld throughout the process.
• Create tailored treatment goals for individual clients, utilizing a strengths-based approach to therapy that motivates clients on their path toward recovery.
• Document all patient interactions meticulously, maintaining accurate records to support ongoing treatment and legal compliance.
• Uphold the confidentiality of all medical records as per HIPAA guidelines, ensuring the protection of sensitive patient information.
• Validate clients’ mental health histories, including any past or current use of psychotropic medications, to inform treatment decisions.
• Compile and submit regular and special reports to track progress and outcomes, ensuring that organizational goals are met.
• Work cross-functionally with nursing staff and other mental health professionals to facilitate post-release referrals for continued care.

Our patients come from diverse backgrounds and face a variety of mental health issues. You will engage with clients experiencing conditions ranging from anxiety and depression to substance abuse and trauma-related disorders. Your ability to relate to and understand the unique circumstances of each client will be vital in helping them achieve their therapeutic goals and improve their overall quality of life.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted LPC licensure in the state of Georgia is mandatory.
• A minimum of two years of direct counseling experience is expected, preferably within a clinical setting.

• Specialization or experience in family therapy, couples therapy, substance misuse treatment, or trauma-informed care is highly desirable.

The compensation for this position ranges from $70,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including:
