Job description

Telecom, Inc. is seeking a motivated, personable, and sales-driven Remote Residential Internet & Voice Sales Representative to join our team.


In this role, you will make outbound calls to prospective residential customers using company-provided leads. Your goal will be to understand each customer’s needs, explain available internet and voice services, overcome objections, and convert qualified opportunities into sales.


This is a business-to-consumer (B2C) sales position requiring confidence, persistence, and the ability to build rapport over the phone. The ideal candidate is a natural conversationalist who is comfortable working toward individual and team sales goals.


Required Availability

Applicants must be available to work one of the following full-time schedules:

  • Monday through Friday, 12:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m. Pacific Time
  • Monday through Friday, 12:30 p.m.–9:00 p.m. Pacific Time

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make outbound calls to prospective residential customers using provided leads.
  • Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate internet and voice services.
  • Clearly explain product features, pricing, promotions, and service options.
  • Use effective sales techniques to overcome objections and close sales.
  • Identify appropriate upselling and cross-selling opportunities.
  • Consistently meet or exceed weekly and monthly sales goals.
  • Accurately enter orders and document customer interactions in the CRM.
  • Learn and effectively use order-entry, billing, and customer management systems.
  • Represent the client’s brand professionally during every customer interaction.
  • Stay informed about current products, promotions, and marketing campaigns.
  • Organize daily activities and manage assigned leads independently.
  • Follow all required sales, quality, compliance, and documentation procedures.


Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous outbound telephone sales, residential internet sales, telecommunications sales, or call-center sales experience is strongly preferred.
  • At least two years of experience in a competitive or goal-driven sales environment is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales goals.
  • Confident, personable, and professional phone presence.
  • Strong ability to build rapport and communicate with residential customers.
  • Ability to overcome objections and provide relevant, persuasive responses.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good grammar, spelling, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Comfortable learning new software, billing platforms, and order-entry systems.
  • Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to complete a computer-skills assessment.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced remote environment.
  • Quiet, distraction-free home workspace.


Technical Requirements

  • Computer that meets the company’s technical requirements.
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection connected by Ethernet; Wi-Fi is not permitted while working.
  • Corded USB headset.
  • Quiet, noise-free home office.

Compensation and Benefits

  • $17.00 to start per hour, based on relevant work experience.
