• Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients to understand their mental and emotional health challenges, taking into account their trauma history and individual needs.
• Develop personalized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based practices, ensuring they are tailored to the specific goals and situations of each client.
• Provide individual counseling sessions that utilize various therapeutic modalities to help clients develop coping strategies and address their issues.
• Monitor and document patient progress diligently, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Educate patients on stress management and trauma recovery, equipping them with tools to navigate their journeys effectively.
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers, social services, and community resources to coordinate comprehensive care and support for clients.

This role primarily revolves around supporting trauma injury patients, who may present with various psychological issues arising from physical injuries and trauma. Clients may experience anxiety, depression, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) stemming from their circumstances. By focusing on this demographic, you will play a crucial role in transforming their experiences into opportunities for healing and growth.

• A Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling or a related field.
• A valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) is required.
• At least 3 years of experience working specifically with trauma patients in a therapeutic setting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite to facilitate documentation and communication.

• Experience with Salesforce and Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems will significantly enhance workflow efficiency.
• Demonstrated proficiency in various therapeutic techniques such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or other trauma-informed therapies.
• Strong communication skills that enable effective interaction with patients and multidisciplinary teams.
