Optum's Enterprise Provider Growth Office is building a team of experienced healthcare sales professionals to drive growth for Crimson AI, our clinical analytics platform. Crimson AI helps healthcare organizations bring together complex clinical, financial, utilization and operational information so leaders can identify opportunities to improve quality, reduce costs and strengthen performance.

As a Senior Solution Sales Executive, you will own business development for Crimson AI across a Southeastern territory. You will build and prioritize pipeline, develop relationships with healthcare decision-makers, lead complex opportunities from discovery through agreement, and coordinate the right internal partners to connect client needs with measurable business value.

This is a remote, individual-contributor role on a small, high-impact team. Candidates may live anywhere in the United States; residence in the Southeast is preferred but not required. The role requires the ability to travel up to 70% based on client, market and business needs.

Primary Responsibilities:  

  • Meet or exceed assigned sales targets by developing and closing Crimson AI opportunities with prospective and existing healthcare clients
  • Own territory strategy, account planning, pipeline development, opportunity prioritization and sales execution across the assigned market
  • Identify and create new business opportunities through disciplined prospecting, market research, relationship development and coordinated account engagement
  • Build relationships with healthcare leaders and translate client challenges into clear value propositions and measurable business outcomes
  • Lead multiple, concurrent sales opportunities from origination through final agreement, maintaining clear next steps, stakeholder alignment and execution accountability
  • Serve as the sales opportunity leader and primary client point of contact throughout the deal lifecycle
  • Develop sales strategies and lead RFP, RFI and RFQ responses for new and existing clients
  • Partner across sales, product, clinical, solutioning, finance, contracting, delivery and other internal teams to shape executable client solutions
  • Identify opportunity risks early and take appropriate action to improve deal quality and protect client and organizational interests
  • Use market, industry and account insights to strengthen positioning, business cases and client conversations
  • Build proficiency in Crimson AI capabilities, healthcare performance drivers and the competitive environment to support credible client engagement
  • AI-native selling expectations
  • AI fluency is a core expectation for this role. The successful candidate will use enterprise-approved AI tools responsibly to improve the quality, speed and consistency of daily sales work while maintaining appropriate human judgment, validation and confidentiality
  • Use approved AI tools to support territory planning, account research, opportunity prioritization and meeting preparation
  • Apply AI-enabled workflows to personalize outreach, improve proposal development, accelerate follow-up and strengthen internal collaboration
  • Validate AI-assisted research and draft content before using it in decision-making or client-facing materials
  • Use AI and data-driven insights to identify growth opportunities and help healthcare clients understand the value of AI-enabled analytics
  • Evaluate relevant healthcare, analytics and AI trends to inform solution positioning and strategic innovation

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5 years of experience as a quota-carrying individual contributor in healthcare sales, healthcare technology sales, healthcare services sales or a related healthcare business development role
  • Demonstrated experience managing a defined territory, building pipeline, prioritizing accounts and advancing new business opportunities
  • Experience leading complex sales opportunities across multiple stakeholders and internal partners
  • Demonstrated use of AI tools or AI-enabled workflows to improve sales strategy, productivity, research, territory management, communication, client engagement or internal collaboration
  • Proven solid analytical, critical-thinking, written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
  • Ability to adapt sales strategy based on new information, market dynamics and client needs
  • Ability to travel up to 70% based on business needs
  • Driver's License and access to reliable transportation

 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • HFMA or ACHE certification
  • Experience selling to health systems, hospitals, provider organizations or healthcare executive stakeholders
  • Experience engaging C-suite, senior executive or other enterprise decision-makers
  • Experience selling clinical analytics, business intelligence, data and analytics, healthcare software or technology-enabled services
  • Demonstrated ownership of and performance against a personal revenue target
  • Knowledge of provider-market operations, healthcare performance improvement or clinical and financial value drivers
  • Experience supporting RFP, RFI or RFQ responses and developing data-driven business cases
  • Experience leading AI-enabled workflow adoption, go-to-market innovation or client education in a healthcare sales setting
  • Healthcare software experience involving clinical analytics, care management, utilization management, coding, clinical documentation integrity or other provider-operations solutions
  • Established professional relationships with health system executives, finance leaders, clinical leaders or strategy stakeholders in the Southeast

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, we offer benefits such as, a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). No matter where or when you begin a career with us, you'll find a far-reaching choice of benefits and incentives. The salary for this role will range from $90,000 - $195,000 annually based on full-time employment. This role is also eligible to receive bonuses based on sales performance. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
