This position is entirely remote, allowing flexibility for work-life balance while still engaging with clients through virtual platforms. • Conduct individual and group therapy sessions, primarily in the clients’ homes or virtually, ensuring that services are delivered with respect and compassion.
• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans aimed at improving coping skills, enhancing social skills, and addressing high-risk behaviors such as self-injurious behavior (SIB) or aggression.
• Assist families in building effective decision-making skills to navigate in-home behavioral challenges and improve overall family dynamics.
• Collaborate consistently with the Child Family Treatment Team, coordinating with various professionals including social workers, educators, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care.
• Submit documentation such as intake forms, treatment plans, and progress notes promptly and accurately to ensure continuity of care and compliance with organizational standards.
• Participate in monthly team meetings to share insights, receive feedback, and recommend service improvements.

As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, you will primarily work with children aged 3 to 20 who are facing developmental disabilities and intellectual challenges. This includes children experiencing a range of issues from behavioral difficulties to emotional regulation challenges. Your role will involve direct interaction not only with the children but also with their families, aiming to create a nurturing environment that supports growth, healing, and understanding.

• A Master’s degree in Counseling, Family Therapy, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Illinois is mandatory.
• Availability for a minimum of 5-10 hours during after-school hours (4-7 PM), with some weekend flexibility preferred.
• Proficient in Spanish or Portuguese to effectively communicate with bilingual clients is a strong advantage.

• Previous experience providing positive behavior support in home settings or outpatient facilities.
• A background in working with children and teens, especially those with intellectual/developmental disabilities.
• Knowledge of behavioral therapies and familiarity with documentation procedures.
• A valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle for travel where necessary.
• A clean criminal background reflecting integrity and suitability to work with vulnerable populations.
