• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of clients' mental and emotional well-being to establish a clear understanding of their needs.
• Create and implement treatment plans tailored to individual clients, utilizing evidence-based approaches to address a variety of mental health concerns.
• Facilitate individual therapy sessions for clients of all ages, employing various therapeutic techniques to address issues such as anxiety, depression, and relationship challenges.
• Offer couples therapy to assist partners in improving communication, resolving conflicts, and strengthening their relationships.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and case histories, ensuring compliance with applicable legal and ethical standards.
• Adjust treatment plans regularly based on clients' evolving needs and therapeutic progress, incorporating feedback from clients themselves.
• Provide crisis intervention and support to clients in acute distress, ensuring their safety and well-being.
• Engage in continuous professional development to stay abreast of the latest advancements in marriage and family therapy.
• Advocate for clients' rights and well-being, empowering them to take an active role in their treatment decisions.
• Ensure a secure and confidential virtual therapy environment for clients, adhering to the highest ethical standards.

In this role, you'll work with a diverse clientele, focusing on the unique needs of individuals, couples, and families. Your expertise will assist clients from various backgrounds, including children and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, relationship issues, and life transitions. You will have the opportunity to create meaningful therapeutic relationships and contribute to improved mental health outcomes across the Kent community and beyond.

• A Master's Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or a related field is required.
• Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist through the State Board is mandatory.
• Strong foundation in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and providing therapy.
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, along with proficiency in electronic health record systems.
• Commitment to maintaining client confidentiality and adhering to ethical practices in therapy.

• Prior experience providing individual and couples therapy, particularly in a remote setting.
• Experience working with children, adolescents, and adults with varying mental health challenges.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and guidelines.
